THORA JACOBSON
THORA JACOBSON is Director of the
Samuel S. Fleisher Art Memorial in Philadelphia administered by
the Philadelphia Museum of Art. At Fleisher since 1972, Jacobson
has also served as guest curator and juror for numerous group and
solo exhibitions on the East Coast, and has been Chair of the
Philadelphia Art Commission since 1993. Her essay in this
publication was originally prepared for a retrospective exhibition
of Kandelaki's work she curated for the Baleh Institute for Ethnic
Studies in Philadelphia in 1992. |
